Several tens of thousands people take part in a protest against a government plan to let single women and lesbians become pregnant with fertility treatments, on October 6, 2019 in Paris. The French National Assembly on September 26, 2019 voted in favor of a bill on bio-ethic giving all women access to fertility treatments such as in vitro fertilisation, "procreation medicalement assistee" or PMA in French and artificial insemination. So far, only heterosexual couples have the right to use medically assisted procreation methods.
