The Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, holds a press conference in which he presents, together with State Secretary at the defense ministry, Cezary Tomczyk, the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Wieslaw Kukula, and the Division General of the Polish Cyberspace Defence Forces, Karol Molenda, a new defense public training program called ''wGotowosci'' (In readiness). This program is aimed at every Polish citizen from the age of 18 who wants to deepen their knowledge about defense, first aid in situations of natural disaster or armed conflict, and cybersecurity, among others. Every Polish citizen can sign up for the training voluntarily via the government's ID App mObywatel. The government, led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, aims to train 100,000 volunteers annually by 2027 and works to increase the availability of training for citizens, as well as enhance national security through initiatives like improved emergency shelters and self-defense courses for the public.
