The depreciation of the Turkish lira weakened the purchasing power of citizens.According to the results of the Turkish Statistical Institute survey, the monthly food expenditure (hunger limit) required for a family of four to have a healthy, balanced and adequate diet is 2,864.82 TRY, which is equal to 209 USD according to today's exchange rate.
