A two-alarm fire is severely damaging Zadies Kosher Bake Shop and a strip mall early Friday morning in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, United States, on July 26, 2024. The Fair Lawn Fire Department is being dispatched to a report of a structure fire with flames coming from the rear of the Green Dragon Restaurant located on the 19 block of Fair Lawn Ave at 2:27 AM. Upon arrival, heavy smoke and fire are coming from the rear of the building. There is heavy air handling equipment on the roof of the building, and the roof is collapsing shortly thereafter. The fire is getting into the common cockloft of the building and spreading horizontally to the other businesses in the complex, causing widespread damage to all the businesses located in the strip mall. There are no injuries to building occupants or to firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation by local and federal law enforcement.
