A protester shows the remains of a GLI-F4 grenade used by Gendarmerie Mobile. Protesters decided to create a ZAD (Zone To Defend) in a farm 'La Cremade' nearby before being violently dislodged by 1200 gendarmes mobiles (riot police), two helicopters, 2 armored vehicles and a deluge of tear gas canisters. After the expulsion, protesters cleaned all the fields of tear gas canisters and drawed the symbol of the collective 'Les soulevements de la Terre' (ie Earth uprising'). Nearly 10 000 people participated to a week end of action called 'Ramdam sur le Macadam' in the Tarn department against the decried highway A69 between Toulouse and Castres. Several corteges took place and went to different places. Police tried at several moments to block the access to the camp at protestors even during the cortege. Several political parties, unions, ngos called to this week-end of protest. The main assocation 'La Voie est Libre' (ie 'The Way is Free'), opponents want the building of the highway to be stopped until all the justice decisions on the content to be given. All expropiations for farmers aren't cleared. Opponents at this project say that the reprofiling of the N126 will be suffisant for the 6,000 vehicles planned per day and would cost far less money. The A69 highway will cost EUR512 millions (in 2018 euros without the inflation) for 54 kilometers. More than 100 protected species and 400ha of agricultural fields will be destroyed. Saix. Tarn. These tear gas canisters containing 25 grams of TNT notably caused serious injuries among the demonstrators during the Yellow Vests movement. This photo taken on March 16, 2019 in Paris, France during Act 18 of the Yellow Vests shows the GLI-F4 grenade explosion.

GLI-F4 grenade is seen on the occasion of Act 18 the Yellow Vests (gilets jaunes) had called to converge mass on Paris on March 16, 2019 to launch "an ultimatum to Macron" the day after the closure of consultations for the Great Debate organized by the executive to try to provide answers to this social crisis that has shaken the country since 17 November. But after four months of mobilization, their main demands (Citizen Initiative-RIC referendum, restoration of the ISF, lower taxes on basic necessities) were swept by the government. Worse, the price of fuel has returned to the same level that triggered the movement. The protesters also contest the vote on the "anti-thugs" law, which violates the right to protest. In parallel, two other events (the "March of the Century" for the Climate and the "Solidarity Walk" against police violence and "state racism") were taking place at the same time in Paris, the various processions having more or less aggregated during the day. In this context, thousands of people demonstrated in the streets of the capital this Saturday Among them many radical elements forming a "black bloc" violently met the police in the district of Champs-Élysées and street furniture and shops and restaurants (including Fouquet's) on the avenue.
