"Neon protest" in Germany primarily refers to a specific animal rights movement, NEON (No Exploitation Of Nonhumans), using highly visible, often neon-colored signs and powerful visuals for street outreach to promote veganism and animal liberation, distinct from general political protests like those against the far-right AfD, which also use signs but aren't branded "Neon Protest".
