Heavy rainfall in Kolkata, India on September 25,2021. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday evening said that Cyclone Gulab has formed in the Bay of Bengal.As per the satellite observations at 5.30 pm on the day, the cyclone was located over northwest Bay of Bengal and was 370 km east-southeast of Gopalpur, Odisha and 440 km east of Kalingapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Indian devotees hold umbrella and protect rain walk inside a 'pandal', a temporary worship place, for the 'Durga Puja' festival , in Kolkata on October 12,2018 in India.Cyclone Titli, which made landfall near Gopalpur in Odisha early Thursday morning, weakened into a deep depression and moved towards northeast.The storm is now likely to further lose its strength and enter the Gangetic West Bengal. Skymet Weather has predicted heavy rainfall in various districts of West Bengal, Bangladesh, and also parts of northeastern India including Tripura and Mizoram.Heavy rainfall is expected in Digha, Kolkata, Contai, Purulia and both the North and South 24 Parganas in West Bengal in the next 24 hours.
