People hold a sheet reading 'From France to USA, Abortion, transition and ART, in the streets for our rights'. Women from the collective NousToutes and other organizations such as SUD or Amnesty International organize a nationwide march in France against feminicides, sexual violence, and patriarchy. Several thousands of people, women and men, take to the streets for this day. They demand more measures from the French government to protect women beaten, injured, or killed by their partners. They state that 65% of killed women came to the police to make a complaint, but police classified the complaints. They also ask for better police training to pay attention to these complaints. Feminist organizations demand at least EUR2.6 billion per year as necessary to tackle violence against women. In 2023, more than 270,000 women are victims of violence by their partners. Today this right is questioned in many countries which endangers millions of women. In France For 18 years, the number of voluntary abortions (IVG) varies between 215,000 and 230,000 each year. In 2018, 224,300 IVGs were performed in France.
