Monument 'Fuente Inca' to the Great Pachacutec, Peruvian Inca leader, seen in the empty main plaza in Aguas Calientes. Cusco region union leaders launched a 48-hour strike this morning to protest against rising food, fuel and fertilizer prices and to ask the government for help to exit the crisis. The strike in Cusco blocked road and rail access to the ruins of Machu Picchu, the country's main tourist attraction, and access roads to Cusco, the regional capital, trapping thousands of innocent tourists. On Monday, 18 April 2022, in Aguas Calientes, Cusco, Peru.
