In Baghdad, Iraq, on September 7, 2025, the Iraqi capital witnesses a rare astronomical phenomenon, a total blood lunar eclipse, on Sunday evening. The moon turns into a dark red disc, a scene that dazzles residents of the city and most of Iraq. According to astronomy experts, the eclipse begins at 6:28 p.m., with the moon entering the Earth's penumbra. It peaks at 9:11 p.m. The blood-red color lasts for more than 80 minutes before finally ending at 11:55 p.m.
