Almost 95% of critical infrastructure lies in ruins in the front-line town. Each day, Russian forces bombard the area with guided bombs and attack drones, striking civilian vehicles and the remaining homes. Russian troops often conduct a ''Russian safari,'' targeting cyclists and pedestrians who still inhabit the front-line areas near the contact line.
