In Madrid, Spain, on October 12, 2025, thousands of people gather in the city center to attend the Dia de la Hispanidad celebrations, which culminate in the traditional National Day military parade. A significant portion of the crowd lining the Paseo de la Castellana waves Spanish flags and chants slogans against the government. Almost all those carrying the Spanish flag--whether wearing it, waving it, or draping it over their shoulders--clearly belong to right-wing political circles, often monarchist and openly opposed to Pedro Sanchez. There are also numerous street vendors selling Spanish flags and red-and-yellow patriotic merchandise.
