Krishna Chandra Bagh Shrestha (60) pierces the tongue of Sujan Bagh Shrestha (30) during the annual tongue piercing festival of Bode in Bode, Nepal, on April 15, 2025. Locally called ''Jibro chedne Jatra,'' this festival is observed annually on the second day of the Nepali New Year. The medieval town, which used to be a separate state in the medieval age of Nepal, observes this festivity with grandeur.
