Lord Shiva LGBTQ community devotees, known as Kawariya, bring Gangajal holy water on a 62-kilometer walk from Tarkeshwar during the Kanwar Yatra, an annual pilgrimage of Lord Shiva's devotees. In the month of Sawan, during the Kanwar season, the pilgrims visit the Tarkeshwar Lord Shiva temple to fetch holy Ganga water and travel back to their respective destinations in Kolkata, India, on July 27, 2025.
