LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - AUGUST 27, 2021: Suffragettes join environmental activists from Extinction Rebellion outside Bank of England for a march through the City of London in a protest against the companies and institutions that are financing, insuring and enabling major fossil fuel projects and extraction of resources in the developing countries of the Global South, demanding change to the colonial system that drives the crises of climate and racism on 27 August 2021 in London, England. Extinction Rebellion activists target the City of London during the two week 'Impossible Rebellion' action to highlight the role of the UK's financial sector in supporting 15 per cent of all global carbon emissions by constant investment in the carbon economy around the world.
