A former U.S. Marine Corps Major Ken Mayers (age 82) holds a riflets during a protest outside the Irish Parliament. Ken Mayers is one of the two members of Veterans For Peace, who entered the airfield of Shannon Airport on March 17, 2019, with intention to inspect OMNI Air International, which they believed was carrying U.S. soldiers and weapons on their way to the Middle East. Both veterans, Mayers and Kauff were arrested by Guardai (Irish Police) they transferred to Limerick Prison, where they spent the next 12 days, Released on bail, they are currently awaiting a trial.
