30 minutes Chunchi is a small hamlet called Launag, located in the middle of the mountain, where the wind blows hard that it almost seems that up houses. Cold to the bone reaching counteracts the warmth of its people, those living tradition of livestock. However, the beauty of the moor that blanket and where there is a section of the route Capac Ñan shows them a new direction to engage: community tourism. The first part and perhaps the most difficult and topped with building a cottage for tourists. This property is as warm as its people, because it has all the amenities to make visitors feel comfortable. A fireplace in the room, hot water and heating in all three rooms are part of the attraction of this cabin. Luis Serrano, one of the locals, invites tourists to visit the town to know the route Capac Ñan. The trip is made in horse and warns that you should go warm clothes. On the top you will know Culebrillas gaps and Yaguarcocha. In addition to spot birds and watch closely the brave cattle grazing on top of the moor. Part of this community tourism initiative are the horses where the tour is done, those belonging to the locals, who will also become the visitor guides. There are also crafts made by the inhabitants of the village as baskets, made with own material moorland, bags and ponchos that appeased not only cold, but prevent the rain from the top of the mountain (which they called "papacara ") to penetrate. If you want a contact full of adrenaline with nature, breathe fresh air and to trace the path of our ancestors, no doubt Chunchi and surrounding mountains are your destination, in Chunchi, Ecuador, august 21 of 2016.
