Demonstrators, including one holding a placard with a photo-montage of Margaret Thatcher with Emmanuel Macron's face, take part in a rally, called by the left-wing party La France Insoumise (LFI) and youth organisations, to protest against the pension reform bill presented by the French government in Paris on 21 January 2023. The pension reform bill would raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 for most people and increase the number of years of contributions needed to get a full pension, which a majority of French people are strongly opposed to.
