Volkswagen (Anhui) Co., Ltd. is establishing an intelligent manufacturing base in Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone, Anhui province, China, on May 20, 2024. Volkswagen (Anhui) Co., Ltd. is being recognized as the first joint venture of Volkswagen Group in China focusing on new energy vehicles and is covering a total area of about 510,000 square meters. Based on the Volkswagen Group MEB modular electric drive platform, the first model is being put into production at the end of 2023.
