Man cleaning the yard of a temple before a procession to mark ''Kitchen God Day'', part of Lunar New Year in Jakarta on 14 January, 2023. Chinese ethnic in Indonesia believe that today the God of Kitchen or God of the hearth departs to heaven to report all misdeeds and good deeds to the Emperor Jade right before the Lunar New Year takes place. This ritual will be followed with others ahead of the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Rabbit, that falls on Jan. 22, 2023.
