Man holds a phone with a text message from Andrew Scheer (Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada) asking Canadians to 'help get rid of the new Federal Carbon Tax' in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on March 31, 2019. The Conservative Party of Canada sent random mass text messages to people in the four provinces criticizing the Carbon Tax. The Federal Government's new Carbon Tax took effect on April 1, 2019 in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and New Brunswick. The new tax will result in an increased cost of about 4.4 cents per litre for gasoline.
