Udichi is founded on October 29, 1968, by the revolutionary litterateur Satyen Sen. Since its inception, Udichi commits to the struggle for a society based on rights, freedom, and equality. During the years 1968, 1969, 1970, and 1971, Udichi upholds the spirit of the Bengali people's overall liberation and organizes a vibrant cultural movement. This struggle spreads across the roads and villages of rural Bengal. In 1971, members of Udichi directly take part in the Liberation War.
