OSWIECIM, POLAND – JANUARY 27: Polish actor and singer Michal Zebrowski reads an excerpt from Testimony from Auschwitz, writings by Zalmen Gradowski, during the main commemoration marking the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz at the former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp near Brzezinka, Oswiecim, Poland, on January 27, 2026. The event takes place in the former central sauna building, near the ruins of gas chamber and crematorium IV, honoring the victims of the camp.

An actor, Michal Zebrowski attends an election evening of Rafal Trzaskowski - a candidate for a President of Poland of an opposition party Civic Coalition, minutes before the closing time of the polling stations in the second round of presidential election in Fountain Park by the river Vistula in Warsaw, Poland on July 12, 2020. A fierce fight between the opposing candidates - Andrzej Duda (the present President of Poland of ruling PiS party) and an opposition candidate Rafal Trzaskowski of Civic Coalition was observed in the deeply antagonized political arena of Poland. Presidential election was originally set for May the 10 but postponed due to Coronavirus lockdown. It is the first presidential election in Europe since Covid 19 outbreak. Today’s election determines the next Polish president, who serves a five-year term.
