Jupiter satellites, well known as ''Jupiter Moons'', are visible next to the planet. Mars and Jupiter met on the night between August 13 and 14 in the constellation of Taurus. The Gas Giant and the Red Planet created a spectacular close conjunction perfectly visible to the naked eye.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Image is a composition of 4 interval timer photos to show moon rising path) Full “snow moon” shining behind clouds is seen from L’Aquila, Italy, on February 24th, 2024. The name "Snow Moon" comes from ancient Native American traditions. At this time of year, in many parts of North America, snow was still on the ground, giving the moon a particular color and brightness. Our satellite will reach its apogee, the farthest point from Earth in its orbit: it will appear about 7% smaller and 15% less bright than a normal full moon. Full Moon of February 24th, 2024 will be the smallest of the year.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Image is a composition of 5 interval timer photos to show moon rising path) Wolf moon rising next to Corno Grande and Pizzo Cefalone peaks (Gran Sasso d'Italia National Park) is seen from Tornimparte (L'Aquila), Italy, on January 25th, 2024. Wolf Moon is the initial full moon of the new year and derives its name from native Americans and the fact that January was the month when the howling of wolves became more intense. Additionally, due to the cold temperatures, this was also the time when these animals tended to approach villages more closely, resulting in their howls being heard more frequently. Corno Grande (mt 2912) is the highest peak of Apennines mountains.

November Full Moon is known among Native Americans as the ‘Beaver Moon’ because, during this month, beavers prepare to face the harshness of winter by building their famous dams and stockpiling food in their burrows.
