The new migration strategy plan of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, which assumes a temporary and territorial suspension of asylum law, sparks opposition among non-governmental organizations, some politicians, and citizens. The suspension of asylum law applies to the Polish-Belarusian border, where a humanitarian crisis is ongoing. Many EU leaders support the new migration strategy and assure that they will not initiate any proceedings for violating EU law.
