Participants protest against the suspension of asylum law under the slogan 'Fuck your borders' outside the Civic Platform office in Krakow, Poland, on October 27, 2024. The new migration strategy plan of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, which assumes a temporary and territorial suspension of asylum law, sparks opposition among non-governmental organizations, some politicians, and citizens. The suspension of asylum law applies to the Polish-Belarusian border, where a humanitarian crisis is ongoing. Many EU leaders support the new migration strategy and assure that they will not initiate any proceedings for violating EU law.

March 24th, Brussels. Thousands of people gathered around the Brussels North Station to stand up against hate and aggression, against discrimination, racism and inequality. They also wish for the authorities to ensure a quality welcome for migrants entering the country, respecting human rights and based upon integration, regulation and fair social treatment, both for new arrivals and undocumented individuals. More than 120 organisations launched an appeal for a national demonstration against racism, hate, discrimination, inequality and all forms of attacks. The 120 associations vary in size and represent all regions of Belgium.
