The China Mobile LEO Test Satellite (Model 1), a cornerstone of the company's Direct-to-Device (D2D) and NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) strategy, is showcased at MWC 2026. The model features a prominent large-aperture deployable mesh parabolic antenna, designed to provide high-gain connectivity for 5G-Advanced and early 6G signals. This satellite is part of a constellation that aims to achieve ''ubiquitous connectivity,'' allowing standard smartphones to maintain data and voice links in remote areas, oceans, and during natural disasters by bridging space-based infrastructure with terrestrial networks during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, on March 4, 2026.
