A fire burns for several days at the country's largest waste landfill in Matuail, operated under the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on February 26, 2026. Smoke from the burning waste spreads beyond nearby areas including Demra, Konapara, Jatrabari, and Jurain, reaching as far as Motijheel in the capital.
