Tens of thousands of citizens are holding placards and chanting slogans at a rally on Sejong-daero in Seoul, South Korea, on May 25, 2024, calling for the passage of the Private Chae Special Prosecutor Act and condemning its veto. The rally, organized by National Emergency Action to Reject the Veto, a coalition of 84 civil society organizations including the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy and Lawyers for a Democratic Society, and supported by seven opposition parties (Democratic Party of Korea, Rebuilding Korea Party, Justice Party, Progressive Party, New Progressive Union, and Social Democratic Party), is taking place at 3 PM in front of Seoul Station.
