A policeman walks past the Nozyk Synagogue on 29 June, 2021 in Warsaw, Poland. The Polish government has passed a bill that will severely restrict restitution claims by Jewish families for properties lost during the German Nazi occupation of Poland. The Polish government claims the bill will offer certainty to current owners of property while Israel says the bill is "immoral". Passing of the bill has led to a diplomatic row between the two countries.
