Onlookers watch a partially submerged house following heavy rains at Tengan village, in central Kashmir's Budgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, on September 4, 2025. Water levels in the Jhelum River start to recede in Srinagar, but the danger remains as the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) continues rescue operations in flood-affected areas. The disaster management department warns of possible landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones, advising people to stay away from water bodies, nallas, river embankments, and weak structures.
