Paphos street runs between the free and occupied part of Nicosia near the Paphos Gate, Nicosia on Apr. 1, 2023. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus made a statement concerned for works inside the buffer zone where the so called ''Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus'' is constructing a football stadium. The buffer zone is Cypriot soil given willingly to UN for making its peacekeeping duty easier and according to the statement, Cyprus Government has never given any clearance for works inside the buffer zone and demands the UNFICYP to act accordingly.
