Palestinian fishermen retrieve their fishing nets from the Mediterranean Sea on November 18, 2025. The United Nations Security Council approves a resolution yesterday, including a temporary International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza, as part of US President Donald Trump's 20-point plan to bring peace to the enclave. Under the resolution, the ISF is responsible for ''securing Gaza's borders, protecting civilians, facilitating humanitarian assistance, supporting the training and deployment of a reconstituted Palestinian police force, and overseeing the permanent de-commissioning of weapons held by Hamas and other armed groups in the enclave.'' The draft also provides guidelines for a pathway to Palestinian statehood.
