NYPD crime scene unit investigators remove several pieces of evidence from the scene one day after a woman is found dead with head trauma inside 212 West 124 Street within the confines of the 28th precinct in Manhattan, New York, United States, on February 21, 2026. On Friday afternoon at approximately 1:38 PM, police respond and find a woman unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to the head. EMS responds and pronounces the woman dead at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determines the cause of death. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is withheld pending proper family notification.
