Police is doing intense controls to protesters. Clashes and vandalism which have resulted in thousands of arrests, including more than 1,700 on Saturday 8 December 2018, spring from the ‘Yellow Vests’ protests, an anti-government movement. Roadblocks and lot of action among demonstrators and the police occurred around Arc De Triomphe and Champs Elysees with broken shops, burnt or damaged cars, roadblocks with fire, violence and lot of tear gas smoke from the police.
