The WLKM 12.7 mm four-barrel Gatling-type machine gun, developed by Zaklady Mechaniczne ''Tarnow'' and nicknamed the ''Monster from Tarnow,'' is displayed during the Warsaw Defence Expo (Warszawskie Targi Obronne) in Warsaw, Poland, on June 19, 2026. The weapon serves as the core kinetic effector of the SAN counter-drone air-defense program, capable of firing up to 3,600 rounds per minute with an effective range of approximately 2.2 km against both aerial and ground targets, and is primarily designed to destroy drones. The SAN system also includes an electro-optical head for detecting, identifying, and tracking targets in day and night conditions, along with fire-control, communications, and command systems. Serial production is scheduled to begin within the coming weeks, with deliveries to the Polish Armed Forces expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
