In front of the Prefecture, a protester reads a tract about migrants and their battle to obtain papers. Dozens of thousands of people take to the streets in Toulouse, France, on September 10, 2025, against Macron's economic policies after a day called 'Bloquons tout' (Block everything). In Toulouse, as in other towns, the movement 'Bloquons tout' launches at the beginning of the summer on social networks. It launches against Macron's policies: downsizing the welfare state to cut taxes for businesses, increasing the Defense budget and Interior Ministry, and his choice of conservative Sebastien Lecornu as the new Prime Minister. His pro-business stance angers French people who blockade everywhere in France on September 10. Riot police receive orders to be without any tolerance towards blockades and use volleys of tear gas canisters. After blockading, people come to protest and scuffle with riot police.

An unionist shows to a CRS (riot policeman) the Prefecture'paper authorizing the demonstration but he didn't care. For May Day or Labour Day, between 20 and 30,000 people took to the streets in Toulouse. Trade unionists, people, yellow vests, anarchists and members of political partys came to the demonstration. This year, people are worried of what french president Emmanuel Macon will do during his mandate and after the pensions reform which broke French society. Anger after this reform, after the police violence during protests and in Sainte-soline and after the ban of pans and whistles during protests are the main reasons of the scuffles which happened between protesters and riot police. Riot police launched scores of tear gas canisters and used the water cannon. Several protesters have been injured and others have been arresters. Police decided the end of the protest despite the authorization given by the Prefet. Toulouse. France. May 1st 2023.
