Karol Nawrocki, supported by the Law and Justice party, wins the presidential election with a 50.89% majority, defeating Rafal Trzaskowski of the Civic Platform. On August 6, he is sworn in as President of the Republic of Poland before the National Assembly, and a ceremony takes place to assume command of the Polish Armed Forces. To mark the occasion, a march of his supporters and the Law and Justice party takes place through the streets of the capital.
