PrevFogo firefighters are facing the dense forest in an area of the Pantanal do Paiaguas, the flattest and most flooded part of the entire biome, in Corumba, Brazil, on July 3, 2024. In addition to firefighting, they are carrying out prevention work by creating firebreaks in an attempt to prevent a burned area from spreading to an untouched one.
