Young artists hold a placard reading 'The virus isn't more dangerous in a theather than in Primark'. Culture workers (actors, live artists, painters, musicians, technicians, etc.), theaters directors and culture unions (CGT, Synavi, Snam..) organized a nation wide day of actions and demonstrations to protest against the closing down of all theaters, cinemas, concert halls, etc. by the Franch government due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They protest as they are wondering why malls, shops, etc are open and not them. Culture workers are considered as non essentials by the French government even if France is called a 'culture country'. They won't reopen until 2021 January 7th at best. Some personnalities such as Serge Pey, actor and poet or Galin Stoev, director of the National Theater of Toulouse took part to this particuliar day. Toulouse. France. December 15th 2020.
