Former Nepali Home Minister Bamdev Gautam welcomes former Defense Minister Bhim Rawal during a party merger ceremony into the ''Nepali Communist Party'' in Kathmandu, Nepal, on November 12, 2025. Communist leaders of Nepal attend the unification announcement program of the ''Nepali Communist Party,'' which now merges with another party led by communist leader Bhim Rawal, amidst a ceremony in the capital, Kathmandu, on November 12, 2025. Bhim Rawal, who leads the Matribhumi Jagaran Abhiyan after the CPN-UML takes action against him, stripping him of even ordinary membership, joins the Nepali Communist Party. A ceremony takes place at the City Hall in Kathmandu to announce the unification between the Nepali Communist Party and Rawal's Matribhumi Jagaran Abhiyan. Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, and leaders Jhala Nath Khanal, Bamdev Gautam, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, among others, participate in the unification ceremony. Coordinator Dahal and Rawal reach a seven-point agreement. The agreement is also signed by Co-coordinator Nepal, along with both leaders. It is agreed that Rawal will be the sixth-ranking leader in the Nepali Communist Party.

Members of security agencies, the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Police wade through the flood, ordering people to evacuate from a flooded area in Kathmandu, Nepal, on October 4, 2025, following incessant rain due to the continued influence of moisture-laden monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal, which triggers heavy rainfall across the Himalayan nation. In Nepal, the monsoon is particularly influenced by the Bay of Bengal, making it a major driver of monsoon-related disasters. During the four months of the monsoon season, starting from June to September, Nepal typically receives around 80% of its annual average rainfall of 1,600 mm, sometimes reaching up to 1,800 mm. Nepal ranks second after Bangladesh in South Asia and 20th globally in multi-hazard disaster risk. According to the 2019 Asian Development Bank report, floods alone cause an average annual loss exceeding USD 140 million, accounting for 1.4% of Nepal's GDP.
