A baby Florida Softshell Turtle momentarily escapes the beak of a Little Blue Heron at Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando, Florida. However, the heron quickly recaptures its prey and swallows it whole. Little Blue Herons are skilled predators, feeding on a variety of aquatic creatures including fish, turtles, insects, frogs, and even small reptiles.
