The march was co-hosted by the National Council of Churches and Sisters of Mercy. Roughly half of states have made voting less accessible since 2020, and gun violence continues unabated. Over the last two days, mass shootings have occurred in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Washington state, California, and Maryland.
