Several residents who violated the health protocols were given sweeping sanctions in one of the public spaces in Palu, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on August 12, 2021. The local government tightens the implementation of health protocols for residents and imposes administrative and social sanctions for violations to reduce the rate of increase in COVID-19 cases. 19 in the red zone. The government also mobilized a team to monitor community activities in public spaces that were temporarily closed during the extension of restrictions on community activities until August 23. The restrictions were carried out after thousands of its citizens tested positive for COVID-19. These restrictions include the use of public spaces, operating hours of shopping centers, food stalls, restaurants, offices, recreation areas, prohibition of holding wedding receptions, gatherings, and imposing a curfew. Residents who are found to be in violation will be subject to sanctions in the form of administrative fines or social sanctions.
