External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar leaves the residence of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley after paying his respects, on August 24, 2019 in New Delhi, India. Arun Jaitley, the former finance minister and senior BJP leader died at the age of 66 at AIIMS Hospital in New Delhi on Saturday. Jaitley served as the Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs in Modi's NDA-I from 2014 to 2019. From 2009 to 2014, he served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha.

Tamil Hindu devotees carry the idols of Lord Murugan, Lord Ganesh and Ayyanar back towards the temple during the Murugan Ther Festival (Murugan Chariot Festival) at a Tamil Hindu temple in Ontario, Canada. The idols are adorned in green and sprayed with cold water which is said to calm the deities from all the excitement experienced while completing the exterior tour of the temple. This festival is part of the 15 day long festival that honours Lord Murugan which culminates with an extravagant chariot procession.
