Seagulls are seen flying over the Black Sea at Golden Sands resort. One of the oldest seaside resorts in Bulgaria Golden Sands is closed in winter. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the worldwide collapse of tourism, it may remain empty for an unknown period of time. Tens of thousands of people could be out of work and without any prospects. The financial losses are still unknown, but hoteliers and restaurateurs agree that they need the help of the government. Usually the first large groups of tourists who come to Golden Sands are here just before Easter - most of them come from Romania, Golden Sands, Varna, Bulgaria on March 26, 2020
