Cherry blossoms 1, apex predator 0. This shark kite was one of many claimed by trees at a kite event on a sunny, windy afternoon during the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. The month-long festival celebrates Japan’s 1912 gift of Yoshino cherry trees and draws thousands of tourists.
