A 31-year-old male is self-transporting to the hospital with a gunshot wound in the foot and is being listed in good condition after a shooting in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on June 23, 2024. At approximately 6:25 p.m., Sunday evening, on the 2800 block of S. Kedzie Avenue, a 23-year-old male who is a CCL holder is telling police officers that there is an exchange of gunfire between him and unknown suspects. Detectives are questioning the CCL holder at this time to determine whether or not he is recklessly discharging his weapon. Reporters in the area who are covering an unrelated triple shooting in the same area are ducking and covering while shots are ringing out from the incident.
