The Golden Ray cargo ship is seen from the Jekyll Island Pier on February 27, 2020 in Jekyll Island, Georgia. In about a month, a salvage company will begin cutting the vessel into eight segments which can be lifted out of the water and removed by a barge. The vehicle carrier, loaded with 4200 new cars, capsized in St. Simons Island Sound on September 8, 2019 as it was leaving the Port of Brunswick.
