Tourists wearing protective masks visit the Portas do Sol viewpoint, Lisbon. July 30th, 2020. With the arrival of summer Portugal reopens its doors to tourism. Flights from outside the European Union will now be allowed, but passengers will have to take the Covid-19 test. The measure was announced this Thursday by the Minister of Internal Administration Eduardo Cabrita. According to the bulletin of the Health General Direction, since the beginning of the pandemic, 50,868 cases of infection and 1,727 deaths have been confirmed.The region of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo is where the largest outbreak of covid-19 has taken place.
