A man is running around the bonfire in front of St. Augustine's Church to celebrate St. Anthony's Day in Giovinazzo, Italy, on January 21. Traditionally, fires are being lit throughout the city of Giovinazzo to honor the thaumaturge Saint, whose hagiography is associated with the element of fire. Firewood is being used, with large earthenware vessels on top where fava beans are being cooked and will be mixed with olives, all accompanied by delicious red wine.

Statue of St. Rita of Cascia at the church of Our Lady of Grace in Ontario, Canada on 25 June 2016. Saint Rita of Cascia (Born Margherita Lotti 1371 - May 22, 1447) was an Italian widow and Augustinian nun. Rita was united with Jesus in a profound experience when a thorn from his crown penetrated her forehead. The wound it caused remained open and visible until the day of her death. At her canonization ceremony she was bestowed the title of Patroness of Impossible Causes, while in many Catholic countries, Rita came to be known to be as the patroness of abused wives and heartbroken women.
